Currently Reading: Pirate Cinema
Having just finished Cory Doctorow’s latest, Red Team Blues (my Goodreads review), I’ve decided to go back in time and read one of his novels from a decade ago: Pirate Cinema. Already I gripped by the fast pace and the all to believable set up.
Red Team Blues
I finished Cory Doctorow’s new novel Red Team Blues earlier in the week. It’s a really interesting read, as always. I did miss the Afterwords from experts that characterised the Homeland novels though. Full (short, no spoliers) review on Goodreads at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5555143937.
Currently Reading: The Rehearsal
Currently reading … The Rehearsal by Eleanor Catton
Last week I finished Eleanor Catton’s new novel Birnam Wood. I really enjoyed it, although I felt after a long and interesting build up the resolution came on very quickly.
But having enjoyed Catton’s Booker Prize Winning The Luminaries I decided it was time to try her debut novel (and MA Thesis), The Rehearsal.
I’ll have more to say when finished, but am enjoying it so far!
